  • Helena Douglas - Totally effective

If you think that whether it will work well or not then you can be assured that it definitely will. I have used this and it has helped me a lot.

  • Kristine Kehoe - STOP with all the negative comments.

I'm sitting here reading all these reviews and I'm scratching my head. I mean what do you people expect?? This is supposed to help you jump start your new you. Did you think it was going to be easy or taste like chocolate cake ??? So I gave it 4 stars because I want to be honest it's not the best tasting. It's not the worst either. I did this a before my wedding and I lost 15lbs. It was easy to follow and worked for me. I had a great support person if I needed to talk about anything. I never wanted for anything with my lady and always gave me great answers. To the trainer who posted his post. Do you have a degree in nutrition ? My husband owns a training company and he advocates it but the difference between you and him is he doesn't have a degree in nutrition nor does he give opinion like he does. People it's simple. The program works. If you want to add some extra calories it's up to your discretion. The program is designed to SAFELY allow you to consume 1000 calories a day and still be nourished. We all have enough stored fat to survive let's be honest. Like I said its a JUMP START. If it's saves someone life and helps them loose weight then that's what matters. Ridiculous these comments on here. And btw people spend an easy 100$ on a dinner in one night on garbage they shouldn't eat. How about that !

  • Mamalinde - Planned Obsolescence

Five years after purchasing this, not only has the motor burned up, but the bottom is just about to rust through. I don't find this acceptable, as the previous (Kenmore) model lasted more than 20 years. And those 20 years were the years spent with 6-8 people in the house, now it is just two of us. I'm disappointed to say the least, and absolutely FED UP with planned obsolescence. Obviously IT IS (or was?) possible to make a disposal that lasted a lot longer. I'm delving through reviews right now trying to find a replacement that is quality, but most of the review relate to installation and sound. Perhaps this will be helpful to those of you not wanting to relive this process five years from now?

  • Amanda Liew - Air it out under a vent first

The instructions tell you to turn it on for 5-10 minutes first to release something - I had to do it much longer than that, and almost returned it when I thought the smell would never go away. You might see some white/grey wisps and a burning plastic smell for a while. After a few tries, though, the hot plate works like a charm. It boils water fairly quickly and so far has suited my needs. I don't cook full dinners on it by any means, but it's a good stove top to have around for smaller things. I am also pleased because it cools down faster than I expected.

  • Caraculiambro - ho-hum

This year’s collection features only one essay I would consider especially memorable, but at least it’s not crammed with the usual lot of multicultural jeremiads about gender and ethnicity. Hats off to Cheryl Strayed for evidently realizing these collections have been polluted by far too many of those.
