Twinology: Welcome, it's all about me! - For now it's about me, the author of Twinology and I don’t even know where to start....eek! Let’s see, I’m V as some like to call me or mostly Mom. I’m a Cali girl at heart but now am a Southern Bell-NOT! I’m the middle child (of two other V named sisters) who is opinionated, hard headed, stern, fair and a blunt mother who suffers from undiagnosed middle child syndrome. I'm what many like to call, a military brat and I LOVE it. My father is retired from the US Air Force and my parents have been married for 32...

  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/archives.html Twinology: Archives - Parenting is a rewarding gift based on trial and error. I'm not my child's friend, I'm my childs parent. I choose to leave this world with productive children. So, take a deep breath, relax and enjoy this parenting ride!!!
  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/twinversation.html Twinology: Twinversations - My twins are always having the funniest conversations and for years I've been writing them down and sharing them with friends and family. On "Twinversation" I'll periodically post funny things the twins have asked or been over heard discussing. Remember, they're children who are not always in our sight so you never know what they might hear. Enjoy! While out on a Saturday afternoon having lunch with the family my husband and I started discussing my nose (I’m not too fond of it). I proceeded to tell him how I think I would look the same but slightly enhanced (what...
  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/2013/05/abcdefgrades.html Twinology: A,B,C,D,E,F,Grades - Ok, I can admit when I’m a little “too involved” say the boys extracurricular activities but when it comes to their school work & future, no parent can ever be too involved! Here in Alabama, we have a system called INOW where your child’s daily grades, quizzes and tests are posted as well as their attendance, behavior and any functions going on at school for parents to login and view. I check this system at least twice a day. I’ve made it my mission for my boy’s school to know me on a first name bases and not for the...
  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/2013/05/reverse-psychology-at-its-best.html Twinology: Reverse Psychology at its best - I 100% deserve the award for best liar hands down. Not sure how I came up with it but I have imbedded a lie so deep in the twin’s mind that they STILL believe it and they’re pre-teens. I’m just saying, I don’t mean to toot my own horn but damn, I’m good! This beautiful guilt free lie started when something my mother used to tell me popped in my head. The old saying, “what’s done in the dark will come to light” has always stuck with me. One day, that saying crossed my mind at the perfect moment (ok...
  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/2013/05/stare-decisis-latin-for-to-stand-by-a-decision.html Twinology: Stare decisis (Latin for "to stand by a decision") - Recently my boss came to me and asked, when you ground the twins, do you ever take them off early? My response, heck no! Please someone; tell me why on earth I would do that? If they didn’t care about upsetting me to get put on punishment, then why would I care about them having to miss a skate party? I learned this beautiful Latin term “Stare decisis” while taking a law class in college. For some crazy reason, that’s the ONLY term I remember from that class-LOL. Anyways, it’s helped me when it came to parenting. When you tell...
  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/2013/05/are-we-arguing.html Twinology: Are we arguing? - This is something I will NEVER catch myself doing. Why? Well that’s a no brainer; I refuse to argue with a child. I mean, what is there to argue about in the first place? If I tell you to do something, you do it. I don’t have to explain myself and I don’t have to take your “opinion” into consideration. Being a parent is a lot (or at least in my household) like a “DICTATORSHIP”!! I tell you what I want and/or need you to do and as a child they simply have to oblige or suffer consequences. For example,...
  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/2013/05/truth-or-dare.html Twinology: Truth or Dare - Such a fun game as a child but NOT a game I’m willing to play with my kids. I remember being dared to kiss someone on the cheek or picking truth and being asked, is it true you like girls? Ask yourself, are you willing to play this game with your children in today’s society?? If your answer is NO great, you’re on the right track but if your answer is YES, then maybe you should rethink this question. Truth or Dare……………such a huge question once you understand my thought process behind it. Being a first time parent to a...
  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/2013/05/get-ya-head-in-the-game.html Twinology: Get ya head in the game - OMG (Oh my gosh), I have to tell you one of my BIGGEST pet peeves………..parents who don’t know what’s going on during their child’s sporting event (plug your ears now because I’m screaming!). Ah hello, wake up and “get ya head in the game”!! Am I a baseball fan….NO but when the twins are on that field, I’m the biggest baseball fan that ever lived! Oh and did I mention I know what’s going on?? It really bothers me when I see a parent at the ball field reading “50 shades of grey” while their child is playing something they...
  • http://twinology.typepad.com/blog/2013/04/are-we-friends.html Twinology: Are we Friends? - This is a question that probably runs through every parents mind but shouldn’t. Why? That’s easy, because we’re not our children’s friends. Yep, I said it, they’re NOT our friends! I can’t tell them a secret and if I do, they can’t keep it. I can’t hang out with them, we can’t share stories and they can’t help me in a time of need. These are things friends do for one anther but nothing your children can do for you. If your child can do the things I’ve listed for you, well then stop reading NOW (giggles)! I’ve told the...

  • K. Alvarez - FEWER pills, FEWER times per day, and LOWER cost

I have tried three products like this: Candidase, Candex, and this one, CandiZyme. All three work equally well. When I say equally well I mean that my symptoms were completely gone (itching, discharge, etc.).

  • jay stricker - best thermogenic I've tried yet

I started taking these yesterday morning. I take one in the morning with a small breakfast and then another about six hours later with a snack. My energy is unparalleled. I have tried several different thermogenics and so far, this is the best. I normally walk about 40 to 45 minutes per day, today I walked 55 minutes and burned over 500 cal. I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow. supposedly, if you are active, these pills will burn up to three times the calories that you normally would in an activity. So if the treadmill says I burned 503 calories I actually burned 1509? I will be happy to give it 30 days and re-review based on my weight loss. I read a lot of really scary reviews around this product. People were going to the hospital, getting sick, etc but I think these are isolated to those that have allergies. I had no issues with nausea or break outs, but I have no allergies either.

  • Sherleen G. - RoC Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer, the jury is still out on this product.

I have been contacted numerous times by Amazon to write a review on RoC products that I recently purchased. I have told them I hadn't used the products long enough to really give a review but since they continue to e-mail me about it, I will give it my best shot. I like this Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer cream for how it feels on my face when I apply it in the morning. The smell is very nice however I have not used it long enough to really give it a great review as far as diminishing my wrinkles. I will say that it has brightened my complexion and my skin feels alot nicer however not much change in my wrinkles which was the primary reason I bought it. I had hoped to see some better results in the past two to three weeks that I have used it however I cannot say that it has done what it professes to do at this point except brighten my complexion which is a huge plus. One huge problem I have noticed is when I apply this moisturizer over the RoC Deep Wrinkle Filler that I also apply in the mornings, it tends to flake and I have to wipe off all the excess flaking that comes from either the filler or the moisturizer, whichever is doing it. I have been careful about applying it thin enough and making sure I rub it in good but it still has a tendency to flake which is a big nuisance. I would like to know if there is something I am missing when applying these two products in the morning since the directions do say that that you can use the moisturizer over the wrinkle filler. At any rate, time will tell whether I see any difference in my wrinkles but at this point, if it is helping, it is minute at best. Hopefully the longer I use it, the sooner I will see pronounced improvement in the problem areas on my face, specifically minimizing the wrinkles I have around my mouth area.

  • Tom H - Stayin' dry!

This is a lightweight jacket whose primary purpose is to repel rain/mist and wind. It's not meant to provide much warmth so I got a size larger than I'd ordinarily get, leaving plenty of room to wear a few extra layers underneath in cold blustery conditions. In the month or so I've used it, I have been pleased. It is "loud" though. It crinkles. That's not a problem for me, just an observation.

It's been pretty helpful and effective in bring back my baby rounded head! I really enjoyed the fact that the baby can move its head/neck, so if the baby needs to throw up or spit while sleeping it won't choke.

  • Rochelle Hitch - Then it works fantastic. But I cannot allow my hair to dry ...

I Have VERY Curly Hair AND I FIND That I Have To Blow Out Hair Straight Then Use THIS Brush Iron. Then it works fantastic. But I cannot allow my hair to dry naturally then try to use this iron brush takes way too long to get it smooth and straight. One downside is where the on button is for the iron itself. Every time I stroke my hair to straighten I hit the button and it turns it off. The buttons in a bad area. Other than that it works fantastic the way I have to use it
